Mowing is a large aspect of scheduled maintenance that we provide. Residential and Commercial customers benefit by allowing Mike to practice his expertise while either their workforce is busy accomplishing what they are hired for by the company or we help stream line your life by taking care of a task that can't be done at home because of time or lack of equipment.
Mike prides himself on sharp blades all the time so we cut instead of tear your grass. If you need references he has many satisfied customers who are willing to provide them as well. Maintaining your lawn is the best way to inhibit the spread of weeds and disease. Mowing is one aspect of that and we mow at a height that is conducive to the health of the grass. We try to make sure we are not removing any more than 1/3 of the measured height. If it becomes drier weather because of a warm Summer, it would be in the best interest of the lawn to possibly skip a mowing so it holds in the moisture needed to survive. Overworking the turf is what we want to avoid and your satisfaction is always at the forefront of our service.
Mike will bag grass at some properties at the owners request, however he loves to leave mulched clippings on site for 2 reasons: it retains proper nutrients in the lawn and the birds love to build nests. If there is excess grass laying on the top of the property, we will scatter the clumps and spread the clippings over the majority of area. "Grass cycling" or leaving the clippings can add as much as 1 pound of nitrogen per 1,000 square feet seasonally. That can mean a 25 to 35 percent reduction in total fertilizer applied annually. Other studies have shown that, when you bag clippings, you remove about 100 to 150 pounds of nitrogen per acre, every year. University tests have proved that mulched trimmings in a thin layer will promote microbial activity and fight the development of fungal disease.
